Parents and kids have created their own "buzz" around Neighborhood Lit!
Here is what some of our parents and students have to say...
Neighborhood Lit is a wonderful and dynamic program that teaches and inspires young children. My daughters, 5 and 7, have been going to Neighborhood Lit for two years and have truly developed a passion for reading. My 7 year old is now reading above grade level and my 5 year old is well on her way. And the best part of all is that they can't wait to go to class with Miss Janice each and every week!

Neighborhood Lit. has given my son a jump start towards his reading ability. He took a class prior to entering Pre-K. Whenever he entered the car after class, I was amazed with what he absorbed in one session. Now he is an above average reader and does quite well in school. I am excited to start my other children in this program so that they have the same advantage as my son.

I love Neighborhood Lit. because I know the job will get done by Janice and her staff. They are professional and proficient and my sons have all learned so much. It prepared them for school and now that one of my sons is in first grade I see his reading skills are beyond his grade level so Neighborhood Lit. has helped him tremendously.

My son has attended Neighborhood Lit. on and off for the past four years. With every new year Janice and her staff continue to use the most creative strategies to teach the fundamentals of reading and writing. They are a fantastic group of teachers who cater to the needs of each child while keeping them engaged and having fun.

Miss Janice "Rocks"!!! How many teachers can play basketball and teach you how to sound out words all at the same time!!! My friends on my hockey team are jealous that I have a teacher that loves to read about sports with me. She makes it "cool" to read!!

I love when Miss Antoinette teaches me how to read. It's so much fun and we get to play games like basketball. She also helps me write better with shaving cream. It's just so much fun I'm not really sure what I like most. The only thing I don't really like is when it's time to go!
Jack, student age 5
I think Neighborhood Lit. is so much fun - especially when we go into the Messy Room to practice writing. I'm glad I go there because now I am all ready to start 1st grade!
Sofia, student age 6
I like it!
Kathryn, student age 5
Neighborhood Lit. is great because it encourages you to read and write by playing fun games. I always wonder what we are going to do next!
